Being gay as a gift

After reading Davey Wavey's latest entry, I begin to relate how being gay is a gift to myself.

While being gay doesn’t define me as a person, it has helped mold me into the person that I am today. I’ve been asked many times before “if you could take a pill to turn straight…” and the answer has always been “No, I wouldn’t”.

Reason being mainly because without the internal struggles I’ve experienced, and the struggles of coming out and finding myself, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

I'm not just another gay guy after all.

I had never thought about my sexuality as a gift. But I tend to agree. Straight people know that they are straight and there is a certain way that they are expected to act, but we must find our own way, and decipher what we think is right for ourselves. Being open to myself for three years now allows me to find the balance in my own way of living and doing things that I feel is right for myself.

Lego

Lego has been my number one toy ever since my dad bought me my first set when I was about three, it was Duplo (larger blocks, but still Lego) at first but lego never went out of trend. Yes! I'm still playing with them now!

Every now and then when I walked passed the toy section at the department stores I can't resist to take a look at the Lego collections. My favourite ones are those called Lego basic, i.e. the classic blocks, not those themed with Starwars or whatsoever, because those version tend to limit the possibilities you can build outside the instruction book.

KLCC is currently organizing this event called "Treasures AHOY!" at the centre court from 2-7June. Go take a look and get fascinated with the wonders you can make from these tiny little bricks.

Kids having fun with thousands of bricks.. jealous!!

Wonder if The Malaysian legoland project will go well and open as planned.

A Transition!

It's been some time since I last posted something on my blog; thanks to my 12 hour job at Fitness First I barely have time to even clean up the mess in my room! Since it's now chinese new year and I have a precious 4 days break, it's time to update it so that I won't miss out this bit of history of my life!

The past two months has been a transition of my personal experience from studying to a working world. Though being a consultant at Fitness First doesn't exactly bring me forward to a corporate world yet, but it sure does its job in creating a different perspective for me when I look at matters now compared to just a couple of months ago.

Although 2009 is only 26 days old, I can sense something BIG happening and as a matter of fact I'm actually pretty positive about it despite various negative forecast by some feng shui masters and economists.

For those who're literally shocked knowing I've already started work, it's only for a few months before I sink back into the lectures and exams.

Hoy Que Ya No Estas Aqui

It means "now that you're not here"

It's been awhile since the last time i heard this song from Il Divo, about 6months now since i lost my old iPod and my computer got corrupted; I've lost touch with this song.

What i really like about this song is that the lyrics truely reflects my thoughts and feelings when i broke up with my first ex. Very often people relate certain songs to certain stages of their life and "Hoy Que Ya No Estas Aqui" is just what I was early this year.

This is the english translation: (roughly means this)

I never told you I loved you
you never knew the truth
I was not able to appreciate
all that you gave me
I made mistakes
you left my heart empty
and now that you're not here
now that I know how much I lost
I have no will to live
It hurts thateverything is over
you were everything to me and you never knew anything about my love
you said that you loved him that he stole your heart
I believed that our love would be an endless one
but I was wrong
it's incredible, it's over now that you're not here
I have no will to live
you’ll always be the fantasy
I can’t believe that I was letting go

The power of time

Location: Dining room
Mood: Very full from Stevie's Nando's
Sights and sounds: Dim Sum Dollies, SIA Girls, Youtube

While browsing through dad's flickr page, (http://www.horsoonsphotography.blogspot.com/ and http://www.flickr.com/people/horsoon/) I found myself traveling in memory lane as i saw pictures of me and my family over the years. I then realize how much i have changed from an innocent child to the problematic youngster unsure of his sexual orientation till so far, today; erm..haha i don't know how to describe the recent me..most probably a few years later i'd laugh at whatever i'm doing right now :)

Here are some pics of me and my family 9 years ago.
(Stevie said i look a bit Beng but.. a true person treasures his past! :P)

By the way, Chrystal wasn't born by then.

9 Years Later........

10 Days vs. 4 Years

It's been more than 24 hours since I last logged in my blog and check it out.

Today Simon ran a google search on my name "caseyfoo" (don't knw for what reason) and found my blog's url on the first entry. I find it, in a way, kinda cool though..haha

Well, it's been a long day yesterday, woke up at 6:30 and finished my classes at 5:30, went for a hair cut, loitered ard the city and later went to my sis' school's performance. "Malam Sinar Gemilang 2007" at Hotel Istana, KL.

Although it is one of the lousiest hotel still in existance, and the worst food ever served in a so called "gala" style dinner, the performances by various artiste were good enough for a primary school's annual dinner event. i enjoyed most with Khatijah Ibrahim's show and the last time I saw her performing was on the same event, 4 years ago.

4 years! wow time really flies and all I can say is i'm a totally different person after 4 years...
Although I said I've changed alot over the past 4 years, that doesn't mean it takes 4 years to change a person's mind and mentality. After all, how many 4 years can we afford to waste??

As all of my previous posts ever mentioned, the list of events that happened recently has, nevertheless, changed my perception and views in certain things and in another way, I should even be thankful for these events to occur now rather than later so that I'm a better person right now.

If you've read my previous posts, recently i had a conflict with another person and our stands have been changing over the time. (i.e.. I was supposed to get angry 1st but later on i did something that turns out to have pissed him off)

I'm glad he'd forgiven me, in a way, but he still need time to get over it. But anyway, I think this issue should come to an end and b resolved and I'm really grateful it is finally not bothering me anymore. 所謂 經一事;長一智.... I really hope we can still be friends and we could put this issue away as far as possible. huGs.
